I just finished

folding laundry

counting dead fruit flies

organizing stationery

microwaving a rice sock

for the purpose of

soothing my eye stye

collecting paper horses

plastic horses

horses with sparkly ribbon

and fur

and

pieces of paper

that would have been horses

but aren't

loading the dishwasher

hanging up tutus

returning his scissors

to their place on the bathroom counter

where I promised they'd be

when he needs to trim his beard

tomorrow

sweeping

dusting

re-arranging

(and isn't that what cleaning is?)

putting away

listening to music

searching for sofas

ending up here.
